Perth weekly market snapshot for the week ending 4 August 2024

Sales transactions in Perth last week were down 1.1 per cent on the previous week, with REIWA members reporting 841 transactions. A closer look shows house sales were down 7.5 per cent while unit sales were similar compared to the week prior and land sales were up 70.4 per cent.

Perth’s highest sale price: Claremont – $5,100,000

Perth’s lowest sale price: Perth – $375,000

There were 3,266 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is 0.6 per cent lower than the previous week. This can be attributed to house listings remaining similar to the week prior, unit listings increasing 1.8 per cent and listings for vacant land decreasing 6.3 per cent.

Last week's total figure of properties available for sale is 3.9 per cent higher than four weeks ago but 36.9 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

In Perth's rental market, REIWA members reported there were 2,518 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is marginally up on the week prior. Last week's rental listings figure is 3 per cent lower than four weeks ago but 34.4 per cent higher than a year ago.

REIWA members reported 637 properties leased last week, which is 9.9 per cent lower than the previous week and 1.1 per cent lower than four weeks ago but 9.3 per cent higher than a year ago.
